Peder Skrivare Upper Secondary School (PS) offers several national upper secondary programs that can be combined with developmental education in sports, Young Entrepreneurship, Technology College, or Care and Health College. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a student assistant for the Individual Program within the Adapted Upper Secondary School at Peder Skrivares School. The Adapted Upper Secondary School is a four-year education program for students with intellectual disabilities (ID). Starting in the fall of 2026, the Individual Program will comprise approximately 30 students organized in age-integrated groups. Group size and staff density are adjusted based on students' individual needs. Students in the Individual Program study six subject areas. Many students have, in addition to intellectual disabilities, other disabilities such as physical and neuropsychiatric diagnoses. As a student assistant, you work closely with educators and contribute to creating safe, structured, and developmental learning situations for students throughout the school day. You support student learning within the various subject areas and work to ensure that each student is given the best possible conditions to develop according to their needs and abilities. The work includes using clarifying pedagogy together with special educators and teachers, and meeting students based on their individual conditions. You are part of a team where collaboration and shared responsibility are central to student learning and development. Together, you develop teaching and support around students so they can achieve the highest possible goal fulfillment and be well prepared for adult life. Work tasks may vary over time based on student needs, which requires that you are flexible, solution-focused, and have good ability to collaborate within the work team. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with experience working with our target group and experience from the school environment. It is a merit if you have TSS training and have knowledge of and/or experience with low-arousal approaches. To succeed in the role of student assistant within the adapted upper secondary school, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and strong commitment to the students you meet. Your focus on students is clear, and you have a positive attitude toward your work, your work team, and the school form. As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and responsible. You collaborate with both students and colleagues in a responsive and smooth manner, and you listen, communicate, and handle conflicts in a constructive way. You act in accordance with decisions made, the curriculum, and applicable goals, policies, and guidelines. Furthermore, you are calm and stable and have the ability to focus on the right things even in situations that require patience and judgment. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The work also requires physical capability. You need to be an active person who can handle daily walks, cycling, and various forms of movement and activities together with students.
