Knowledge Trust Joy Eriksdal School is an F-9 school on Södermalm with proximity to both the city's pulse and scenic natural areas. The school is buzzing with life with approximately 1000 students in grades F-9, of which approximately 60 students attend adapted primary school. We have spacious and functional facilities, a fantastic schoolyard with access to an artificial grass field, ice rink and Eriksdalsbadet in our nearby area. Eriksdal School's adapted primary school is a program for students with intellectual disabilities, often in combination with additional disabilities (for example autism, physical movement disabilities, ADHD). Our facilities are adapted to accommodate students in all need groups. Eriksdal School's adapted primary school students are currently divided into 10 classes. Students study subjects and/or subject areas according to the curriculum for adapted primary school. Many of the students need their own educator by their side throughout the day, both at school and during after-school activities. Students are taught both individually and in groups. We use clarifying pedagogy together with other evidence-based methods to give our students the most favorable conditions for learning and development. This student group places high demands on pedagogical expertise. At Eriksdal School's adapted primary school, approximately 50 employees work with different backgrounds, competencies and experience. You have successfully worked with this student group before. You have knowledge of students within NPF and bring tools to create a good learning environment for students that is clear, predictable, positive and strengthens the sense of coherence. You have experience working from a low-affect approach and value good relationships between you and the students. You should find it easy to collaborate with colleagues and together with them plan the entire day for students based on the group's conditions. As a teaching assistant in adapted primary school, you are part of a work team where we work together to develop the program so that our school becomes the best school for our students. Qualifications We're looking for you who: • Has experience working with students in adapted primary school • Has knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, visual supports and TAKK • Has experience with students with externalizing behavior • Works with a low-affect approach • Is attentive, patient and relationship-building • Has a strong view of students where all students can succeed You also have: • Good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team • Ability to work structurally and follow shared work methods • Understanding of the after-school program's mission and how it complements the school day Meritorious • Trained Childcare Worker Other Before employment, a certificate from the police conduct register is required.
