Eriksdal School is an F-9 school on Södermalm with proximity to both the city's pulse and nature-rich areas. The school is bustling with life with approximately 1000 students in grades F-9, of which approximately 60 students attend the adapted primary school. We have spacious and functional facilities, a fantastic schoolyard with access to an artificial grass field, ice skating rink, and Eriksdals Bath in our immediate vicinity.
Eriksdal School's adapted primary school is a program for students with intellectual disabilities, often in combination with additional disabilities (for example, autism spectrum disorder, physical mobility limitations, ADHD). Our facilities are designed to accommodate students in all support groups.
Eriksdal School's adapted primary school students are currently divided into 10 classes. Students study subjects and/or subject areas according to the adapted primary school curriculum. Many students need their own educator by their side throughout the entire day, both at school and during after-school activities. Students receive instruction both individually and in groups. We use clarifying pedagogy together with other evidence-based methods to provide our students with the most favorable conditions for learning and development. This target group requires high levels of pedagogical expertise.
At Eriksdal School's adapted primary school, approximately 50 employees work with different backgrounds, competencies, and experience. We work in teams with the student's best interests always in focus.
Eriksdal School's leadership consists of a principal, five assistant principals, and an administrative director.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for you as a teaching assistant with competence, knowledge, and experience working in an adapted primary school (formerly special primary school). You have successfully worked with this student group before. You have knowledge of students within neurodevelopmental disorders and bring tools to create a positive, predictable, and clear learning environment that strengthens a sense of coherence. You have experience working from a low-affect approach and value good relationships between you and your students. You should find it easy to collaborate with colleagues and together with them plan the entire day for students based on the group's circumstances. As a teaching assistant in the adapted primary school, you are part of a work team where we together work to develop the program so that our school becomes the best school for our students.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
• Have experience working with students in adapted primary school
• Have knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, visual supports, and TAKK
• Have experience working with students at early developmental levels and with care needs
• Have experience with students showing externalizing behavior
• Work with a low-affect approach
• Are responsive, patient, and relationship-building
• Have a strong student perspective where all students can succeed
You also have:
• Good collaboration skills and enjoy working in teams
• Ability to work structured and follow common work practices
• Understanding of the after-school program's mission and how it complements the school day
Meritorious Experience
• Experience with tube feeding and epilepsy
• Trained examination assistant
