We are seeking an engaged and confident student assistant who works closely with students and is an important part of their school day, both during instruction, at recess, and in daily care situations. About the position As a student assistant, you work together with teachers, student welfare services, and other staff to create a safe, predictable, and stimulating school day for all our students. You will provide adapted support based on the students' different conditions and needs. The work requires you to be comfortable meeting students with intellectual, communicative, neuropsychiatric, and physical disabilities. An important part of the position is being able to support students who have extensive physical and practical needs. You therefore need to be comfortable working closely with students and be able to follow individual routines and instructions regarding their care and physical needs. Our activities are located at three schools: Grades 1–6 at Vindängen Grades 7–9 at Högstadium Centrum (subjects) Grades 7–9 at Ållebergsgymnasiet (subject areas) Who are you? We are looking for you to join our team and create the best possible conditions for our students. You have a good ability to read the students' signals and adapt your support to their daily mood and conditions. You are responsible and have an easy time collaborating. You are a role model and provide security for the students. We are looking for you who have experience working with this target group in adapted primary school or other relevant activities. You have experience meeting students with various functional variations and extensive support needs where you are confident in providing support for physical needs and personal care, and can handle and perform transfers and other practical tasks in a safe and respectful manner. It is meritorious if you have education or experience in, for example, LSS or similar activities. Experience with AAC (alternative and augmentative communication), clarifying pedagogy, and work with students with multiple disabilities is also meritorious.
