WORK TASKS As manager of Technical Services and Maintenance, you will combine close leadership with long-term development of the municipality's roads, parks, and green spaces, as well as our operations in ground and infrastructure work. Your assignment As manager, you have overall responsibility for the department's finances, personnel, operations, and work environment. The department includes roads, parks, and ground and infrastructure work. You lead the operations both strategically and operatively and create conditions for employees to succeed in their assignments. The assignment involves ensuring safe, efficient, and quality operations and development of the municipality's roads, highways, footpaths and cycle paths, parks, green spaces, playgrounds, and public environments. You are also responsible for the operations department handling ground and infrastructure work, which carries out management and infrastructure work for other operations within Eksjö Energi. You are part of Eksjö Energi's management group and actively contribute to the group's joint development. The role involves close collaboration with Eksjö Municipality, other operations within the group, contractors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders. Your main areas of responsibility • Lead, allocate, and develop the department's work with clear goals, priorities, and follow-up. • Manage the department's finances, personnel, operations, and delegated work environment tasks. • Have company-wide responsibility for planning, coordinating, and optimizing resource allocation and long-term project planning. • Be responsible for planning and design of development projects within your own operations. • Develop operational plans, budget proposals, and long-term maintenance and investment plans. • Ensure good planning, quality, cost control, and efficient resource utilization in operations, maintenance, and projects. • Manage contacts and coordination with authorities, police, regional government, Eksjö Municipality, the Swedish Transport Administration, and other external stakeholders. • Serve as coordinator, planner, and reporting officer to the urban planning sector regarding road and park operations. • Develop working methods, processes, and collaboration within the department and with other operations. • Manage customer and supplier contacts and participate in procurements and contract follow-up. • Contribute to the company's work on safety, preparedness, sustainability, and digital development. QUALIFICATIONS Relevant university education in areas such as engineering, construction, infrastructure, urban development, or other education or experience deemed equivalent. Several years of experience in leadership with personnel, finance, and work environment responsibility. Experience from operations, maintenance, contracting, or infrastructure work. Good ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up on operations, finances, and projects. Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Good digital proficiency. Class B driver's license. Experience in municipal or other politically governed operations. Knowledge of public procurement, contracting law, and contract follow-up. Experience in winter road maintenance, road operations, park management, or ground and infrastructure work. Experience in change management and development of work processes. Knowledge of preparedness and continuity planning in socially critical operations. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement.
