Your tasks – contribute to effective financial management
Your main task as a financial controller involves coordinating and developing the agency's budget work and financial monitoring, and summarizing, analyzing, and proposing measures. The work also involves coordinating the development of both external and internal forecasts. As a centrally positioned financial controller, you will also work closely with agency management and your colleagues on matters concerning operations management and especially the agency's financial management.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an academic degree in an area that the Swedish Energy Agency considers relevant or equivalent experience. You have several years of experience working with financial management and analysis within public administration, for example coordinating budget work, forecasts, and financial monitoring. You also have experience interpreting and applying financial terms based on government agencies' budget letters or other governing documents. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and are an experienced presenter and discussion leader. You have strong knowledge of modern IT systems and programs.

About us
You will be part of the agency's operations management section, which is located within the Planning and Budget Secretariat in the Staff Department. Here work 14 driven and engaged operations and financial controllers who look forward to welcoming you to the secretariat. We focus on governance issues and coordinate contacts with the Government Offices and written governance from the government such as budget letters, assignments, and instructions. We work to ensure the agency has effective environmental and energy management and coordinate the agency's planning and follow-up processes. In addition, we as a section manage and develop the agency's leadership and management processes.
