Read more about what we offer at www.boden.se/jobbaiboden We are now seeking a permanent Financial Controller for the Municipality Management Office's Finance Department. The department has overall responsibility for developing, leading, and coordinating the municipality's strategic work within business management, finance, and procurement and contracting. Other tasks include providing advice and support as well as service to politicians, managers, and others. In the municipality, administrative processes are centralized, and financial support to boards/departments is therefore located with us in the Finance Department. You will be part of a team of 11 financial controllers and economists, providing support to operations within the Community Development Department. You will work closely with the economists in your team who work within the same operational area. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a Financial Controller, you will be a process leader responsible for developing, leading, and coordinating work with planning and follow-up processes in finance. Other duties include developing financial management and resource allocation, as well as preparing analyses and decision-making materials for politicians and department management. Your work tasks also include providing consultative support to unit managers in their work with budgeting, forecasting, financial statements, and reporting, which involves frequent contact with operations. The role also includes conducting training for managers and employees. You will work with both operating and investment budgets. The Community Development Department handles the municipality's largest investments, including infrastructure and water and sanitation (water and wastewater). The work also includes other finance-related tasks such as statistics, state grants, project management, operational data, and ongoing accounting matters. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with relevant university education in economics. You have combined your education with several years of professional experience where you have gained experience in process leadership/coordinating work with budgeting, accounting, or financial statements. You have experience in providing operations-focused management support and using various tools to streamline budgeting and follow-up processes. A requirement is that you have strong knowledge of the Office suite with a focus on Excel. You express yourself well in speech and writing, are accustomed to giving presentations, and are skilled at communicating financial matters in an understandable and simple manner. Further, it is meriting to have experience with: • Work with operations-focused management support • Hypergene for follow-up and analysis as well as Unit4's financial system • Work in the public sector or other large organizations • Laws and regulations from the municipal sector • Accounting for larger investment projects As a person, you are analytical, structured, and have a consultative approach. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently and take overall responsibility for your tasks. In your manner, you are proactive and initiate development work. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and have a good ability to listen and communicate with others. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
