Financial Controller

Experience from a government agency is a merit. About the role As a Financial Controller, you will have broad responsibility for the agency's financial management. You will work closely with the operations and contribute with analyses and materials that give management better conditions to make well-informed decisions. An important part of the role is to develop and streamline ISP's financial management and planning and follow-up processes. You also have a coordinating role in the agency's annual results reporting as well as in the forecasts that ISP submits quarterly to the government. We are looking for you We are looking for someone who has relevant university or college education in economics, or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have: Several years of experience in qualified work within financial management, budgeting, analysis, and forecasting Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing Very good knowledge of Excel The ability to independently analyze financial information and convert it into clear decision-making materials It is particularly meritorious if you have: Experience in financial management within a government agency Good knowledge of government financial management and the regulations and processes that govern agencies Experience driving or participating in change and development work in the financial area Experience with larger financial or business systems and associated system support Experience in financial management, budgeting, or follow-up in the IT area, for example work with IT investments, investment budgets, or financial decision-making materials for IT-related investments Your personal qualities To succeed in this role, you need to be confident and independent in your work while also enjoying collaboration with others. You have good analytical skills and can see both details and the big picture. You are unpretentious, structured, and solution-oriented and have an easy time building good collaborations. Your work group You will be part of the group for personnel, finance, administration, and communication, which currently consists of 14 employees with different skills. The group is part of the operations support unit and has the main task of providing service and internal support so that core operations can efficiently carry out its mission. In the finance function, there are currently a financial officer and a finance assistant. As a Financial Controller, you will therefore have an important and qualified role in the agency's financial management and will work closely with both the group, operations, and management. About employment at ISP The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. Commencement is by agreement. The employment includes an obligation to be placed in war reserves. To work for us, Swedish citizenship is required. The position is classified as a security position and a security vetting with record check will be conducted before an employment decision is made. Since a large part of the work tasks involve classified information, the possibility of remote work is very limited. About ISP ISP is a government agency with a security and foreign policy focus.
