About the Position We are seeking an engaged Finance Director who wants to be part of developing Torsås Municipality through clear leadership and active development work. You have the courage to challenge, question, and clarify financial consequences when needed. At the same time, you are a leader who creates conditions for your employees' development and builds a team where competence, quality, and collaboration are in focus. During 2025 and 2026, the municipality has conducted extensive development work and implemented a new budget process based on SKR's price tag model. As Finance Director, you will have a central role in managing, further developing, and ensuring the quality of the process for upcoming budget years, where work on the 2027/2028 budget will be an important task. We are looking for someone with experience in strategic financial management who can translate financial analyses into clear decision-making documents. You need knowledge of budget and resource allocation models and the ability to drive change and development work in a politically governed organization. To succeed in the role, you must be able to create understanding of financial relationships, build trusting relationships, and collaborate with managers, operations, and political leadership. The role involves close collaboration with the municipality's political leadership and requires you to be able to combine a strategic holistic perspective with an operational and solution-oriented approach. The Finance Department consists of seven employees within accounting, administrative economics, and payroll who together support, monitor financial issues and tasks in the administrations and hold together the municipality's overall finances and budget. As Finance Director, you are part of the Municipal Administration, report directly to the Municipal Director, and are part of the municipality's management team. In the management team, you work together with other managers to drive and develop the municipality as a whole. 1 position(s). DUTIES • Oversee the municipality's financial management and budget process, including planning, implementation, and monitoring. • Lead and develop effective financial management models and processes. • Oversee the municipality's procurement. • Ensure that financial reports and analyses are accurate and delivered on time to municipal management, administrations, and politicians. • Lead and coach employees within the Finance Department. • Monitor and analyze the municipality's financial results and key figures. • Actively participate in internal and external networks and collaborations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with academic education in economics or equivalent. You have several years of experience with qualified financial work, preferably within the public sector, good communication skills in both speech and writing, and the ability to explain complex financial contexts in an easily understandable way. You have good knowledge of procurement implementation and contract preparation. You are confident in your leadership role and experienced in collaborating with stakeholders both within and outside the municipality's organization, and you are skilled at building good relationships. As a person, you easily create structure in your work and have the ability to see both the big picture and the details when needed. You are present for your employees and create conditions for a good work environment, engagement, and development. With a coaching mindset, you provide your team with support and guidance that inspires engagement and responsibility. In addition, you have good ability to make and communicate well-grounded decisions. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You are fluent in Swedish in speech and writing. A driver's license is required. The position is security-classified, which requires Swedish citizenship and an approved security clearance. Salary form: Monthly salary.
