Hallstahammar Municipality is now seeking a Chief Financial Officer who wants to take overall responsibility for the municipality's finances and at the same time help develop financial management and the finance function's working methods. As Chief Financial Officer, you will work at both strategic and operational levels and have a central role in the organization. You report to the Municipal Director, are part of the municipal management group, and have overall responsibility for finance, procurement, and facilities. Main duties and areas of responsibility Lead and develop the municipality's overall financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up Lead and develop the finance function and create unified and efficient working methods Drive digitalization and development of financial processes Ensure clear and well-founded financial decision-making materials Be strategic support to the Municipal Director, municipal management, operations, and political leadership Have overall responsibility for the municipality's procurement work and strategic facility matters Your background and experience We are looking for someone with experience from municipal operations and a good understanding of working in a politically governed organization. You have solid experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, follow-up and analysis, as well as previous management experience with personnel responsibility. You have higher education or university education in economics and experience driving change and development work. Experience with digitalization and development of financial processes and systems is advantageous.
