Surgical Care Leadership Office Would you like to combine strategic financial work with an important public mission? We are seeking an engaged Chief Financial Officer who wants to lead and develop financial management within Surgical Care. You will have a central role in creating long-term sustainable financial conditions for the operations and contribute to high-quality healthcare. Within the Surgical Care operational area, activities belonging to surgical specialties across the region are brought together. In total, there are 2,800 employees distributed across the region's three hospitals in Eksjö, Jönköping, and Värnamo. The assignment includes budget, internal control, follow-up, forecasts, and analysis. You prepare financial impact assessments and translate follow-ups and forecasts into action plans and measures. You provide strategic and operations-focused support to the Healthcare Director, Operations Managers, and other staff functions. An important part of the role is creating knowledge, understanding, and engagement regarding the operations' financial conditions and developing financial work based on factors such as accessibility, workforce planning, and new ways of working. The role includes personnel responsibility for five controllers and you lead the group's work toward common goals. Through supportive and clear leadership, you create conditions for participation, development, job satisfaction, and continuous improvements. You are part of Surgical Care's management group, where you collaborate with other staff functions and report to the Healthcare Director. You will also be part of Region Jönköpings län's central Chief Financial Officer group where you contribute to a holistic perspective, development of the region's financial processes, and strengthened collaboration within the financial function. Your Profile We are looking for you who have: • an academic degree in economics or other education that the employer considers equivalent • several years of experience in qualified financial work, preferably from a larger organization • clear focus on operations and good understanding of how finance supports healthcare's mission • ability to communicate financial matters in a pedagogical, clear, and engaging manner • driver's license, as the operations exist at three locations Previous management experience with personnel responsibility and knowledge of politically governed operations are advantageous. If you have previous experience in qualified controller work, we consider that a significant advantage. As a leader, you are confident, supportive, and clear. You work in a structured manner, have an unpretentious approach, and can switch between strategic matters and operations-focused support. You also have the ability to create engagement and develop others.
