Finance Manager at Karlskoga Folkhögskola Are you seeking a broad and independent finance role where you work closely with operations and have a voice in future decisions? We are looking for a finance manager with overall responsibility for the school's finances. Here you'll have a central role combining qualified financial work with analysis, development, and strategic support to management and the board. You will report directly to the rector and work closely with both the management group and the board. The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence how financial operations develop. The role has no direct personnel responsibility. A diverse operation Karlskoga Folkhögskola operates with multiple financing models. In addition to our grant-funded educational operations, we run a substantial business comprising restaurant, conference, and hospitality services, making finances both varied and interesting. The business operations are in a clear growth phase and are expected to become increasingly important for the school's continued development. With revenues around 50 million kronor, a holistic perspective and understanding of how different parts of the operation interact is essential. We see finance as an important tool for developing operations. Therefore, we're looking for someone who enjoys analyzing, creating structure, and providing data that helps us make informed decisions. About the role As finance manager, you are responsible for the entire financial process—from ongoing accounting and financial statements to budgeting, forecasting, and financial monitoring. An important part of the assignment is creating and developing stable, reliable financial processes that provide the operation with a solid foundation for management and decision-making. You work both operationally and strategically and provide support to operations on financial matters. The role includes: Responsibility for budgets, forecasts, financial statements, and annual reports Monitoring operational finances and producing analyses and decision-making materials supporting both long-term and ongoing decisions Responsibility for liquidity planning and financial forecasts Developing routines, processes, and internal controls Ensuring quality in accounting and financial reporting Monitoring grants and various financing forms Serving as contact person with auditors and other external parties Working with parts of ongoing accounting and receivables management Who are you? We're looking for someone with post-secondary education in finance and several years of experience in qualified financial work. You feel confident in accounting and financial management and enjoy taking broad responsibility. You should have good experience with budgeting, financial statements, forecasting, analysis, and financial monitoring. Experience from operations with multiple financing forms or different business areas is advantageous, as is experience from public or nonprofit organizations—but most importantly, you have the right competence and interest in the operations behind the numbers.
