JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Are you interested in accounting, detail-oriented, and enjoy structure? Do you want to use your economic expertise in an operations-focused role that contributes to important community services? Then we have a job for you as an economist in the social sector. Do you have knowledge of economic management and experience in public sector operations? Do you want to help develop the social sector with the shared goal of creating a better municipality to visit, live, work, and reside in? As an economist with us, you play an important role in supporting the operations' managers in budget, forecasts, and financial follow-up work. Through analyses and preparation of decision-making materials, you contribute to well-founded decisions, sound financial management, and operational development. The assignment also includes ongoing financial administration, such as invoice handling and reconciliations, which are an important part of the operations' financial processes. You work closely with operations and collaborate with both managers, colleagues, and other functions within and outside the organization. You work independently and systematically to ensure delivery of quality within given timeframes. The role involves close collaboration with the sector economist, to whom you also report. As an economist, you become part of the social sector's quality and development unit. Here you make a difference every day by ensuring that resources in our operations are used in the best possible way. The unit currently has five employees with various responsibilities. We work together to support the sector's managers in a professional, proactive, and consultative manner within their area. Together, we work across the social sector's different areas: support services, elderly care, health and medical care, and individual and family care. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for you with a bachelor's degree in economics and experience with financial work, preferably in public sector operations. In your work, you plan, prioritize, and follow up on your tasks well, and you identify solutions to challenges that arise. You sometimes find creative solutions and think outside the box. It's important that you're committed, detail-oriented, and take responsibility for your work. You have the ability to work independently within given parameters and have the judgment to ask for support when needed. You have good collaboration skills, enjoy working with others, and communicate clearly based on the recipient and situation. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is unpretentious and contributes to a positive and development-oriented work environment. Further, you have: • good computer skills in the Office package, especially Excel • good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken, written, and reading comprehension • B driver's license Employment type: Permanent employment.
