About the job
The duties consist of actively participating in the work of preparing financial statements including economic follow-ups and reporting, preparing documents for audits and, if needed, preparing budgets, forecasts and analyses. You also handle ongoing accounting work such as transfers, requisitions, customer invoicing, wage posting and management of asset registers. The work takes place in close collaboration with our economists and our controller who is also the main responsible for the accounting function at NAISS.
Part of your work takes place in close contact and collaboration with economists at the university administration. You also participate in Linköping University's overarching network for economists. Other tasks within the area may occur if needed.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
a degree in business economics or equivalent higher education
several years of experience in accounting work within the public sector
good computer skills, including MS Word and MS Excel
experience in communicating and explaining accounting matters
It is an advantage if you meet any of the following:
experience in accounting for EU projects
experience in accounting at a Swedish educational institution / equivalent
experience in communicating and explaining accounting matters in both Swedish and English
experience from the accounting system Raindance / equivalent
We are looking for someone who is unpretentious, cooperative, flexible, curious and wants to learn new things. You are driven and accustomed to independent work with a good ability to collaborate in teams. It is of great importance that you are good at creating and maintaining work-related relationships.
Your workplace
You will work at NAISS which currently consists of 54 people, in close collaboration with your colleagues in the administrative unit. You will be one of the members of the accounting group which currently consists of two economists and two administrators who work with accounting matters part-time. Your immediate supervisor will be the NAISS department head who is also head of the administrative unit.

About the employment
Permanent employment, full-time 100%.
The position constitutes a role as economist.
Start as soon as possible or by agreement.
The position may be placed in a security classification. If so, security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment decision is made.
