Ekonomiservice is the shared service center for finance in Västra Götalandsregionen. You will become part of a unit with over 20 engaged colleagues who together are responsible for varied accounting and administrative assignments based on our customers' needs. The assignments cover several different areas within finance and involve close collaboration with operations throughout the region. Job Description As an economist with us, you work together with your colleagues to provide professional support to the operations. The role offers a broad and varied day-to-day work where you get the opportunity to work within several finance areas while contributing to the development of our work methods and processes. In this position, you have a special focus on internal audit and cash processes. You have a central role in the work of follow-up, review, and operational support, and you are responsible for coordinating internal audit work for three accounting units. Your main responsibilities are to: Plan, conduct, and document internal audits within the cash process. Lead and coordinate internal audit work for three accounting units. Review and support operations on matters concerning the handling and accounting of patient and sales cash. Ensure that applicable procedures, regulations, and security requirements are followed, for example related to payment card terminals and cash handling. Communicate with operations regarding findings, recommendations, and improvement areas. Contribute to the development, standardization, and quality assurance of work methods within the cash process. Other finance-related work tasks may also occur based on operational needs. You work in a digitalized environment where development of work methods and processes is a natural part of daily operations. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to efficient and quality-assured finance processes that create value for the operations. The position involves some travel within the region in connection with internal audits. You plan when the trips should be conducted based on the assignment's needs. Where possible, we primarily use public transportation for travel. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a university degree in finance and experience in finance work, preferably within the public sector. You have experience in internal audit, internal control, or other review and follow-up work, as well as excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing. To succeed in this role, we see that you are analytical, structured, and have a genuine interest in internal control, compliance with procedures, and development of finance processes. You work independently and have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently. As a person, you are unpretentious, service-oriented, and easily build good collaborations. You thrive in a changing environment and have a flexible and solution-oriented approach. Since the role involves many points of contact, it is important that you communicate clearly, build trusting relationships, and can adapt your work approach based on situation and recipient. It is a merit if you have experience in finance work within the public sector and good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel.
