About the Position We are seeking an engaged and business-driven Department Manager who wants to take full responsibility for developing our operations, our employees, and our customer relationships. The role involves both operational and strategic leadership where you ensure high quality, profitability, and continued growth. You will lead and develop the team, drive the business forward, and work closely with both customers and internal functions to create long-term results. Responsibilities Leadership & Operational Responsibility Lead and develop the department in line with the company's strategy Ensure efficient and sustainable work processes Responsible for daily operations and handle operational tasks as needed Ensure compliance with KPIs, processes, and structures Identify risks, develop action plans, and drive improvement initiatives Business & Customer Responsibility Build and develop strong customer relationships Responsible for implementing new business opportunities Drive upselling and develop existing customer accounts Ensure current pricing and agreements are available Responsible for results and development per customer and business Manage supplier contacts and optimize business operations Handle complaints Personnel Responsibility Lead, coach, and develop employees Conduct development conversations and regular follow-ups Ensure the team works according to processes and KPIs Drive competency development within the group Responsible for salary reviews according to company guidelines Initiate and follow up on action plans Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Several years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics with a focus on road transport Deep market and business understanding Experience in leadership and personnel responsibility Good financial understanding and experience analyzing results Ability to plan, prioritize, and drive work both short-term and long-term A solution-oriented and proactive approach Strong communication skills and relationship-building abilities As a person, you are: Business-driven and entrepreneurial A clear leader who leads by example Structured and analytical Collaboration-oriented and engaged We Offer A key role in an international and dynamic organization Opportunity to influence and develop the business Engaged colleagues and strong team spirit Good development opportunities within the company Information and Application Applications are processed continuously and the position may be filled before the final application deadline, so please send your application as soon as possible.
