Then you may be the person we're looking for for the following roles: Head of the Cyber Operations Unit Head of the Cyber Training-Cyber Exercise Unit About the Position As Head of the Cyber Operations Unit, you are responsible for research, development, and application of methods and techniques for conducting cyber operations with the aim of achieving asymmetric effects across all domains. As Head of the Cyber Training-Cyber Exercise Unit, you are responsible for research, development, and application of methods and techniques for conducting cyber training and cyber exercises with the aim of enhancing national capability in the cyber domain. In your role as unit head, you ensure that operations are conducted with high scientific quality, relevance, and integrity by leading, motivating, and fostering participation and engagement among your staff. The role includes responsibility for employees and work environment. You are expected to be a good employer representative, create conditions for sustainable work life, and identify and further develop your employees' competence. You will be part of the business area's management group and report to the business area head. You actively participate in strategic planning and contribute broadly to implementing the strategic direction and developing both the department and the business area. About the Unit At the Cyber business area, which these units are part of, we focus on how information systems and communication services should both be developed and protected—for example, whether existing IT security solutions are sufficient in relation to current threats, how they should be defended, and how ongoing attacks should be managed. The research has bearing on both civil and military defense, and we also participate in European and international research projects and collaborations with our leading expertise in the cyber field. New, emerging, and transformative technologies, such as artificial intelligence, are a natural part of our research, application, and evaluation work. The business area consists of four units: Cyber Facility Technology, Cyber Training-Cyber Exercise, Cybersecurity, and Cyber Operations. The Cyber Operations Unit aims to develop and support national capability to conduct cyber operations, with focus on both technical and organizational aspects. The Cyber Training-Cyber Exercise Unit aims to enhance national resilience through knowledge-building and knowledge-application cyber training and cyber exercise initiatives, with focus on both technical and organizational aspects. Do You Have the Competence Profile We Need? Requirements We are looking for someone with: An academic degree at the master's level or higher in a field relevant to the cyber domain, or equivalent experience that we deem appropriate for the position. Several years of experience in a leadership role focused on leading and developing groups with expert competence, as well as experience in change management. Competence in relevant areas such as cybersecurity work, research and development of complex technical systems, or technical applied research. Good language skills in Swedish and English and the ability to express yourself well both orally and in writing in these languages in professional contexts. You have a strong ability to drive operations forward in an effective and constructive manner by leading, motivating, and fostering participation and engagement to achieve agreed results. With clear communication, you convey visions, goals, and feedback effectively. You are confident in your role as a decision-maker and have the ability to explain and justify your decisions to your staff. You are comfortable leading through change and possess excellent collaboration skills. You are outward-facing and have a strong ability to create and maintain good relationships both internally and externally. Your stability, self-awareness, and ability to adapt to different situations are important strengths. Great weight is placed on your personal qualities. Meritorious It is meritorious if you have: Experience working in a state authority, particularly within a defense authority or defense and security industry. Relevant doctoral or licentiate degree.
