About the Operation Bolleskärsgatan 60 is a BMSS residential facility idyllically located near the sea in Önnered. The facility is within walking distance to the bus, with only a few stops to Frölunda Torg. The facility consists of two units: one on the ground floor specializing in dementia care and one on the upper floor specializing in intellectual disabilities support. There are 6 apartments on each unit. The ground floor unit is staffed 24/7 with day/evening personnel and awake night staff. The upper floor unit is staffed 24/7 with day/evening personnel and on-call overnight staff. The units at Bolleskärsgatan also collaborate with BMSS Tanneskärsgatan 100. Our staff work with respectful and clear communication toward our residents and their families. Participation and independence are important to us. We work to ensure our residents have influence and feel safety and involvement in their daily lives. We use schedule planning in Time Care, and you are expected to be able to work day shifts, evening shifts, overnight on-call, and every other weekend. Job Responsibilities Work as a support assistant with us involves supporting individuals in their daily lives, both inside and outside their homes. The role comes with significant responsibility and requires the ability to create good structure to support residents in their everyday routines, of course with the resident as a participant in planning the support, as well as in community life more broadly, which you actively work to promote. In your work, you create valuable, long-term relationships with other people and support those who have difficulty making their voices heard. You will work with documentation in the Treserva activity system, implementation plans, and follow-ups on these, among other things. You will be a designated contact person with special responsibility for the resident you serve as contact for. The work involves collaboration with residents, families, guardians, and colleagues. The position also includes receiving delegated tasks according to the Health and Medical Services Act. The work involves lifting and transfers, of course using assistive equipment. Your primary placement will be on the upper floor of Bolleskärsgatan 60, but as needed, you will also work on the lower floor and at the Tanneskärsgatan 100 residence. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree from a Care and Service Program, Support Assistant training, or Children and Recreation Program with a focus on social or educational work. The education requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability services field covering at least 200 vocational school credits, 120 university credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four full-time semesters of study. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of documented work experience in support and service. You need to master Swedish in speech and writing, which means a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. This is because your work includes documentation where you must be able to manage our IT systems. If you do not meet the Swedish language requirements for Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered a language test through the test provider Educateit. You have at least 2 years of documented work experience in equivalent work and take responsibility for your own and the team's work tasks. You are pleasant and helpful toward other people, even in stressful situations, and can quickly adjust your perspective and approach.
