You don't need to be an elite athlete, but you should understand the importance of everyday movement, recovery, and small progress. You have the drive and desire to get me out doing activities, maybe a trip into town or a drive in my car. Since I have my own car that you would drive, it's a plus if you have a license for a manual transmission vehicle. You see it as natural to help with practical everyday tasks, but you also have a sense for when it's time to push me and when it's time to just listen and be there.
