We are expanding our company and are now seeking a driven Network Technician to join our city network team. You work closely with your colleagues and together we support our customers with IT-related questions. The role includes: • Operations and Maintenance: Ensure that our network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, and access points) functions properly. • Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve complex problems in our city network to minimize downtime. • Security: Configure and maintain our network equipment to protect the network against intrusions and threats. • Installations & Upgrades: Assist with installation and configuration of new network equipment in various parts of the network. • Documentation: Update and maintain all documentation regarding network design and configuration. Additionally, on-call duties will be part of the role going forward. Your Profile We are looking for someone with experience working as a network technician or in a role we consider equivalent. Qualifications for the position: • Experience working with network equipment and operations in a larger network environment, preferably in telecom or city networks. • Practical experience configuring and troubleshooting network equipment. • Knowledge of Metro Ethernet technology and management of Access switches as well as handling of customer CPE/R. • Class B driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Merits • Knowledge of BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) for routing and traffic management. You will need to implement and troubleshoot BGP configurations. • Experience working with network equipment from several of our vendors (Nokia SR, Fortinet, Huawei). To succeed in this role, we see that you are service-oriented, structured, and flexible. You have the ability to quickly grasp new technologies and solve problems in a logical and effective manner.
