Your Assignment
As a childcare worker with us, you will be a central part of an engaged F–3 team where teachers, childcare workers, resource educators, and after-school pedagogues work closely together. Teachers and the after-school team collaborate throughout the school day. You plan and structure the school day together so that students get the best possible teaching and development.
During the school day, you are a present, active, and supportive educator in both the classroom and during breaks. If you have experience with recess games, leading recess activities, or developing recess programming, we see that as a great strength. You enjoy creating movement, community, and structure during breaks – and you have ideas you want to bring to life.
After school, you are involved in and responsible for activities in the after-school program. In close collaboration with the after-school team, you plan, carry out, and evaluate activities based on established guidelines. You work with the understanding that after-school care is part of the school's teaching, where activities are planned with a clear pedagogical purpose and connected to the school's themes and focus areas. Together you create a safe, inspiring, and stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors, where students' social and pedagogical development is in focus.
Your Experience
For this position, you must have:
upper secondary or post-secondary education as a childcare worker
experience working as a childcare worker in after-school care
experience working in school with students in grades F–3
good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
It is a merit if you also have:
after-school leader training, nature or outdoor education, or similar
experience with NPF diagnoses and working with students in need of extra accommodations and special support
experience leading colleagues and pedagogical work within after-school care
