Västfastigheter Operations is now seeking an operations technician for an exciting position with our unit in Gothenburg! Västfastigheter Operations is responsible for facility operations, supervision, maintenance, corrective repairs, and customer service. Our properties are complex and technically challenging. With our specialized expertise and knowledge of our customers' requirements, we help create the conditions for vital healthcare. The unit is responsible for Sahlgrenska Hospital, Mölndals Hospital, Östra Hospital, and Högsbo Hospital. You will be part of a team of 19 colleagues in the HVAC/Gas unit at SU hospitals in Gothenburg working with HVAC systems and medical gas. Job Description As an operations technician for HVAC/gas, you will perform corrective maintenance, respond to customer requests, and work on projects involving heating, cooling, sewage, and water systems. You will also conduct inspections for our property managers, perform minor additional work, and participate in official inspections of HVAC systems. In this role, you will provide information and advice to the departments served by these systems. Your work will also include troubleshooting and programming of systems, as well as quickly finding functioning solutions during acute operational failures. Travel is part of the position, and where possible we use public transportation for travel. On-call duty may be included in the position. Qualifications We are looking for someone with training as an operations technician or plumber. Alternatively, you have other education that, combined with experience, is deemed equivalent. You have good Swedish in speech and writing and can follow written and verbal work instructions. For the position, you also need basic IT skills—you can use a smartphone, tablet, email, and search for information online. You have good physical ability and can walk and stand throughout a full workday, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive work tasks. You have good interpersonal skills and contribute to positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and other contacts in the workplace. We see that you are engaged and show interest, willingness, and commitment to providing good service, and you take responsibility through being careful and loyal in your assignment. Since travel during work hours and on-call duty may occur, a Class B driver's license is required. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of plumbing/HVAC and refrigeration.
