Typical Work Tasks As an operations technician, you are a key person in operating, maintaining, and developing our water treatment plants, pressure boosting stations, and reservoirs. You will be involved in daily operations and actively contribute to the development of the facility. The role also involves driving improvement initiatives in existing facilities and participating in new construction and renovation projects. Operation, maintenance, and optimization of the municipality's drinking water facilities. Identification and resolution of technical faults. Participation in development projects to improve facilities or build new ones. Work with SCADA and maintenance systems On-call duty is part of the position. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone with a college/university degree with a technical focus and a valid B-class driver's license is required. Meritorious: Experience in water/wastewater or similar operations Process technical knowledge Electrical knowledge Knowledge of mechanical equipment Computer proficiency SCADA systems & maintenance systems Employment is conditional on clearance for security vetting and placement in security class 3.
