About the Operation
Region Västernorrland's Regionfastigheter operates as a revenue-financed profit center. Regionfastigheter's business concept is to create, adapt, and manage a well-composed portfolio of functional premises based on customer needs and responsible property ownership. As a property owner, we are responsible for space supply, management, and maintenance of the region's properties. For leasing and subletting of premises, we are responsible for rent administration.
For new construction, renovations, and extensions, we handle procurement, project management, and oversight. The total area managed amounts to approximately 500,000 m² of usable floor space. Furthermore, Regionfastigheter is responsible for strategic and long-term property matters such as energy efficiency, investment planning, and the purchase and sale of properties.
We are now seeking an operations technician with a focus on HVAC at Regionfastigheter in Örnsköldsvik for a permanent position with start date 2026-11-01 or by agreement.
You will be part of a team of 7 operations technicians, a technical facility manager, and a unit manager.
Responsibilities
Your main duties as an operations technician will be operations and maintenance of our properties. This means you will work with operations and maintenance in the areas of HVAC, medical gas, central gas system supervision and maintenance, ventilation, controls & regulation, electrical, refrigeration, fire alarm systems, and more.
Examples of responsibility tasks included in the role are to:
Perform inspections and maintenance measures regarding property operations and maintenance needs.
Receive fault reports and assess necessary actions.
Plan preventive measures.
Participate in authority inspections and ensure that any required measures are completed so that regulatory requirements for the properties are met.
Computer/tablet and phone are a natural part of your daily work as we use electronic invoice management, work orders, reporting systems, and more.
Participation in projects, facility modifications, and energy optimization.
Beyond work at the placement location in Örnsköldsvik, you may also perform work on the Region's external properties. The position includes on-call duty.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
Has relevant training in HVAC, Operations Technician, or work experience that we deem equivalent
Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
Has documented experience in building technical maintenance work and good knowledge of building technical matters
Has good computer skills
Holds a category B driver's license
It is meritorious if you:
Have training or other professional experience in HVAC and medical gas
Have training as a fire alarm and sprinkler system operator
Have completed Hot Work training
Have previously worked with HVAC maintenance and installation
Have previously worked in service/maintenance
