Your Responsibilities As operations manager for the street department, you are responsible for planning, leading, and monitoring operations and maintenance work within the municipality's street network. You ensure that our streets, pedestrian and cycling paths, and associated facilities maintain a high standard in terms of traffic safety, accessibility, and functionality. In this role, you work closely with contractors, colleagues, residents, and other stakeholders to create a safe and well-functioning public environment. You will: - Plan, coordinate, and monitor operations and maintenance activities within street areas and more. - Manage contractor supervision and contract follow-up. - Handle fault reports and resident inquiries. - Participate in budget planning and financial monitoring. - Ensure that work is conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and quality requirements. - Contribute to the development of work methods and processes. - Coordinate winter road maintenance and other seasonal activities. What We're Looking For - Relevant post-secondary education in civil engineering, road and construction, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. - Experience in operations and maintenance within street, road, or similar activities. - Experience in contractor management and monitoring is a merit. - Strong administrative skills and experience working with digital operational systems. - Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. - Category B driver's license. As a person, you are organized and responsible, with strong leadership abilities and comfort making decisions and prioritizing in an operation with varying pace. You are also service-oriented and solution-focused, communicative with good collaboration skills, and independent while also thriving in teamwork.
