Lovö Water Treatment Plant is one of two water treatment facilities operated by Stockholm Water and Waste that produces drinking water for approximately 700,000 people in the Stockholm area. We're embarking on an exciting journey where we're investing in renovating and expanding our water treatment plants to ensure sustainable and secure water production for the future. That's why we're now looking for a qualified and experienced Operations Engineer to continue this important work. Here you'll work in a dynamic environment where technology and sustainability are in focus, while playing a key role in developing and securing Stockholm's water supply – both today and for the future.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Operations Engineer, you're responsible for the operational management of Lovö Water Treatment Plant and ensure that drinking water production maintains the correct quality and quantity. The work involves continuous monitoring and optimization of the facility's processes, troubleshooting operational disruptions, and adjusting parameters to maintain stable and efficient production. You'll collaborate closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure long-term and sustainable operations, while contributing to the development and improvement of processes and routines.
This is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. Your workplace will be at Lovö Water Treatment Plant, beautifully located in Ekerö Municipality on the shores of Lake Mälaren.
Your main work responsibilities:
• Operationally optimize the facility's production based on current circumstances.
• Take overall responsibility for operations and planning and coordination before shutdowns and startups.
• Control the process in the SCADA system from the control room as well as locally at the facility.
• Issue work permits and work plans.
• Initiate and report work orders in our API system.
• Initiate, manage, and investigate operational deviations and occupational health incidents.
• Contribute and participate in development and project work as well as planning of investment and maintenance measures.
• Participate in our important systematic occupational health and safety work.
Work is conducted in shifts. We use a 2-shift model including daytime shifts. Flexible hours can be used during daytime shifts within certain timeframes if operations permit. The position includes on-call duty, and to manage call-in times, you need to live near the facility. A personal car is required to manage shift work times.
QUALIFICATIONS
We believe you have a strong ability to analyze the balance in the production process and feel confident making independent decisions under time pressure. You also enjoy continuous improvement, have a good technical background, and enjoy making contacts both within and outside the organization. As a person, you are stress-resilient, unpretentious, with strong collaboration skills.
To succeed in this role, you have the following competencies:
• Higher education with an appropriate focus on the position, or upper secondary education with several years of experience in process and production. Previous work at water treatment plants is an asset.
• Ability to handle rapid process changes.
• Experience with control systems.
• Experience and interest in change/improvement work.
• Good IT skills.
• Class B driving license.
• Can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
In your position, you'll work with security-classified information. Security clearance and background check will be conducted in connection with employment.
