We are now seeking an operations engineer for the active waste unit, where you will be part of ensuring long-term safe management of Ringhals radioactive waste. About the Job As an operations engineer, you work with the entire chain from interpreting requirements and regulatory requirements to practical application in operations. You work with technical investigations, documentation, monitoring, and development of working methods within waste management. At the same time, you have many contact points and collaborate closely with colleagues within the organization as well as external actors and authorities. Example Responsibilities - Manage and develop the operations' IT support and waste register - Register, monitor, and report generated waste - Conduct quality controls and follow-ups - Develop and update instructions, processes, annual plans, annual reports, and other operational documentation - Interpret regulatory requirements and internal requirements and ensure they are implemented in operations - Conduct investigations and technical assessments related to waste management - Contribute to development and improvement of working methods and processes - Collaborate with other departments within Ringhals as well as with authorities and external actors About the Team You will be part of a team with broad expertise in waste, chemistry, and technical matters. We work closely together and share knowledge across different areas of responsibility. We would like to see that you have - A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, or equivalent experience and knowledge - Experience from industry, process operations, or other operations that work under clear regulatory requirements - Experience from nuclear technology, regulatory, or other safety-controlled operations - Good computer skills, preferably with Office Suite, SAP, and Svala - Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written - Basic English language skills It is meritorious if you have experience with waste management, environmental issues, or work with hazardous waste.
