We're now looking for an operations worker with a focus on equipment operation. We're seeking an experienced and versatile equipment operator who enjoys varied practical work. You'll operate everything from small work machines to crane trucks and larger wheel loaders – and when needed, even boats. Equipment operation is an important part of the role, but you're also part of the work team and participate in other operational tasks involving maintenance and upkeep. WORK TASKS As an operations worker with a focus on equipment operation, you'll work on operations, maintenance, and upkeep of the municipality's public environments. Work tasks are varied and follow the seasons and operational needs. You need to be comfortable switching between different tasks, both inside and outside machines. One day you might operate a crane truck or wheel loader, and the next day participate in practical maintenance, repair, or upkeep work with your colleagues. In this role you'll, among other things: • Operate crane trucks, wheel loaders, and other vehicles and work machines. • Perform operations, maintenance, and upkeep of streets, pedestrian and cycling paths, squares, parks, green spaces, and other public environments. • Work with snow removal, de-icing, and other winter road maintenance. • Perform sand collection, leaf collection, and other seasonal work. • Participate in minor construction, asphalt, repair, and maintenance work. • When needed, operate boats and participate in work on or in connection with water. • Perform other practical work tasks within the operation's area of responsibility. • Participate in on-call duty according to schedule. Work is largely performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and can periodically be physically demanding. During on-call duty, winter road maintenance, and emergency response, work hours may vary and work may occur in evenings, nights, and weekends. You work both independently and together with your colleagues. Together you contribute to ensuring that the municipality's public environments are safe, well-maintained, and functional year-round. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone who has: • Upper secondary education or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. • CE driver's license. • Valid professional competence certificate, YKB. • Operator's certificate or professional certificate for wheel loaders. • Professional certificate for vehicle-mounted crane, heavy class (over 18 ton-meters), issued by TYA. • Good experience operating and handling different types of vehicles, work machines, and equipment. • Ability to express yourself in Swedish and understand instructions and safety regulations. • Good digital skills and ability to use the digital tools needed for the work. It's advantageous if you have: • Vocational training in construction, road and street maintenance, park care, or another relevant field. • Documented experience with municipal operations, contractor work, road maintenance, park care, or similar activities. • Training in Work on Roads. • Qualification or documented experience with chainsaw or brush cutter work. • Experience and in-depth knowledge of winter road maintenance, machine technology, or operational issues. • Experience instructing colleagues or conducting short practical training on machines, equipment, or safe use. • Boating experience or relevant boating operator certificate. You take responsibility for both your work and the vehicles, machines, and equipment you use. You work with a clear safety mindset, follow instructions, and have good judgment even when conditions change rapidly. You can plan and carry out your work independently based on operational needs. At the same time, you collaborate and share your knowledge and contribute to a safe and positive work environment. You're flexible, unpretentious, and can switch between equipment operation and other practical tasks, and help where the need is greatest. You're service-oriented in your interactions with residents, colleagues, and others you meet in your work. You work in a solutions-oriented manner and treat others professionally. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration, start date: By agreement. The position includes on-call duty service according to schedule. Work may occur outside regular working hours, particularly in connection with winter road maintenance and other emergency response.
