JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Sagateatern's primary task is to provide children and young people with a context and to inspire them to develop within theater. Central to this is creating and nurturing relationships with students. Your task as a drama educator will be to lead a number of theater groups per week with ages ranging from 10 to 20 years old. You strive to adapt the activities according to the students' maturity and wishes, and to have a performance with each group by the end of the spring term.
The work may also include leading projects jointly or individually, often in collaboration with schools and other partners. You should be able to handle what is involved before and during performances and smaller shows, such as scriptwork, lighting, sound, costumes, set design, etc. You will work together with five colleagues and jointly take care of the theater building Sagateatern.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who
• You are a trained drama educator from a university or folk high school or have other education and experience that we assess as equivalent.
• You have good experience leading children and young people in theater educational activities.
• As a person, you are stable and enjoy collaborating with other people to unpretentiously find the best solution toward the common goal. You are creative in your thinking and work approach but take personal responsibility for your tasks and always strive to complete your projects on time.
• You must also be able to work evening hours and, if needed, schedule additional rehearsals and performances in the evening and/or on weekends.
Meritorious qualifications
• You have in-depth knowledge within set design, scriptwriting, costumes, lighting, sound, or another theater area.
• You have driven or participated in theater projects.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
The Municipality applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
For the entire 2026/27 school year, we are looking for 1-2 educators on fixed-term employment at 20%-75% employment level. Please indicate which level you are seeking as a maximum and minimum.
