The education position is combined with full-time employment as a doctoral candidate during the study period, which corresponds to four years. Duties This doctoral project is part of the Forte-funded research project titled: Sustainable and Inclusive Social Services for Older LGBTQ+ Persons: Design, Implementation and Evaluation in Collaboration with LGBTQ+ and Social Service Actors. Max Kleijberg leads the project and is a lecturer at the department. The project's overall aim is to explore, develop, and evaluate LGBTQ+-inclusive and sustainable guidelines and working methods in collaboration with LGBTQ+ and social service actors (i.e., older LGBTQ+ persons, care personnel, and managers and decision-makers). As a doctoral candidate, you will be part of the project team driving the project and are expected to contribute to its overall purpose, research questions, and development. As a doctoral candidate, your primary responsibilities will be to conduct and coordinate research in collaboration with researchers and LGBTQ+ and social service actors. The work includes planning and conducting scientific studies, including developing research design, data collection, analysis, and scientific publishing in international journals or equivalent scientific publications. The project has a co-creative character, which means that as a doctoral candidate you will work in close collaboration with the project's various stakeholder groups, including initiating, planning, and conducting research and co-creative activities, as well as contributing to implementation work within the project. Södertälje Municipality is a central partner in the project. The duties include, in addition to regular presence at the department, active participation in meetings, data collection, and collaboration with the project's actors in Södertälje. You are also expected to actively participate in a research environment through participation in seminars and conferences, and to present and discuss your work on an ongoing basis. Qualification Requirements To be admitted to doctoral level education, the applicant must have basic eligibility and the specific eligibility required by the subject, and must be assessed to have the ability otherwise needed to benefit from the education. Basic Eligibility for Doctoral Level Education (according to HF 7 chap. § 39) is held by those who: have completed an advanced level degree, have completed course requirements of at least 240 credits, of which at least 60 credits at an advanced level, or in some other way within or outside the country have acquired essentially equivalent knowledge.
