Are you a district nurse or registered nurse interested in varied daytime work with attractive employment conditions? Then this could be the position for you! Östersunds kommun is now seeking a district nurse or registered nurse for a flexible pool position in home care. The flexibility in the position means that you work beyond the existing staff and are assigned to the home care area where there is the greatest need at any given time. For example, you may cover for regular staff during absences or strengthen a team that is busy. In other words, it is the operations' needs that determine which residents you will visit, and you have no fixed patient responsibility. Your placement is in central Östersund, but you may also support other home care areas within the municipality. The position is a permanent employment at 100%. Working hours are 08:00-17:00 and weekend service may apply (currently your future colleagues work every 10th weekend). Start date is by agreement but preferably as soon as possible. Your new work Our goal is to provide safe and secure care to our residents who have home care support. The position requires that you are confident in your professional role and able to work independently. In your immediate work group, there are 12 colleagues, and there are good opportunities for collegial support every day as the group has common morning meetings and stays in contact by phone when consultation is needed. The central home care area that you will belong to includes the municipal home care groups Marielund, Erikslund, Staden Övre, and Staden Nedre. In addition to the central home care area, Östersunds kommun also has an area for Torvalla/Brunflo and one for Frösön/Lit. You will primarily work in the central area and with the home care groups that belong to it, but when needed, you will strengthen our other home care areas. In the position, you will have the opportunity to participate in the municipality's development work regarding, for example, procedures, collaboration with the region, and with the medically responsible nurse. Your role includes planning, leading, and performing home care work together with the home care teams and in collaboration with the health center and specialist care. You will perform standard tasks such as wound care and palliative care. You have an important role in training and mentoring base staff and family members. It is also your task to assess base staff knowledge and provide delegations so that staff can, for example, administer medications correctly. In Östersunds kommun, we work according to a health-promoting and rehabilitative approach. A preventive measure that all residents can benefit from is that we organize health meetings at the municipality's meeting places. Your competence Requirements Nursing license At least 2 years of experience working as a nurse B-level driver's license You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Meritorious District nurse license Experience working in municipal care Experience working in home care Experience in palliative care Experience in wound care Experience working in the Viva business system We are looking for you We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role, is stable in all situations, and can easily prioritize between tasks.
