About the Operation Family Center VillGott is a gathering place for expectant parents and families with children aged 0-6. The operation is located at Ludvika Hospital and is run through a collaboration between Region Dalarna and Ludvika Municipality. The Family Center includes an open preschool, the social services team, midwives, child health center with district nurses and doctors, and child/maternal health care psychologists. Job Responsibilities Working in child health care is a unique opportunity to be part of a child's development, growth, and well-being. You will be responsible for children in the child health center age group 0-6 years with various backgrounds. Your role as a child health center nurse is to promote children's health and development, prevent illness, and early identify and initiate measures for problems in children's health, development, and growth. Your work tasks include developmental assessments, health examinations, breastfeeding counseling, vaccinations, telephone advice, home visits, and parent groups. As a child health center nurse with us, you'll have an exciting and varied role where you can influence children's health and living conditions. We are now seeking a colleague for a maternity leave coverage position of at least one year. The position is full-time, but part-time may be discussed. Qualifications Requirements: District nurse or specialist nurse with focus on children and youth Previous experience in child health care Class B driver's license as home visits are part of the role We see that you enjoy meeting with other people and have a strong interest in working with children and families. The role requires that in each visit you see the individual and meet those you encounter in a friendly and professional manner. You are collegial and can collaborate both within your own unit and across organizational boundaries. Work in child health care is ever-changing and requires adaptability to new guidelines and working methods in the field.
