Do you like to work with your hands, tinker, and solve problems that come your way? Then this could be the job for you, even if you've never heard of a Distribution Electrician before. As a Distribution Electrician, you ensure that electricity reaches where it needs to go. One day you might be out troubleshooting after a power outage, the next day you're building new infrastructure or improving the electrical grid for the future. You work close to nature, enjoy great freedom in your daily work, and become part of a team that helps each other. As a Distribution Electrician, you work with service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and new construction in electrical networks between 0.4–40 kV. It's practical work where you use both your hands and your head to solve problems and create safe, sustainable solutions for our customers. If you have experience in this role and want to take on more responsibility, there are opportunities to work as an electrical safety leader with responsibility for temporary staff and subcontractors. You will primarily work within your local area and be home the same day, but longer trips may occur when the business needs it. We use home basing, so you start directly from home with your service vehicle. Being on call may also be part of the role. Requirements As a Distribution Electrician with us, you are our most important asset for the work performed in the field.
