Do you enjoy tinkering, fixing, and solving problems that come up along the way? Then this could be the job for you, even if you've never heard of a Distribution Electrician before. As a Distribution Electrician, you ensure that electricity reaches where it needs to go. One day you might be out troubleshooting after a power outage, the next day you're building something new or improving the power grid for the future. You work close to nature, enjoy great freedom in your daily work, and become part of a team that helps one another. As a Distribution Electrician, you work with service, maintenance, fault repair, and new construction in power grids between 0.4–40 kV. It's hands-on work where you use both your hands and your head to solve problems and create safe, sustainable solutions for our customers. For those with experience in the role who want to take on more responsibility, there are opportunities to work as an electrical safety officer with responsibility for hired personnel and subcontractors. You will mainly work within the local area and be back home the same day, but longer trips can occur when operations require it. We use home-basing, so you start directly from home with your service vehicle. Being on call may also become part of the role. Requirements As a Distribution Electrician with us, you are our most important asset for the work performed in the field.
