Description As a distribution electrician at Karlstads Energi, you'll help build, maintain, and develop the power network that keeps Karlstad running. You'll have varied and practical work where one day you might work on a new connection or a substation replacement, and the next day troubleshoot and restore power supply during an outage. You'll be part of an experienced and dedicated team where people help each other, take responsibility, and take pride in what they build. You work both independently and together with colleagues in operations, construction, and other professions, as well as with external contractors. Karlstad is growing and electrification places increasingly high demands on the power network. We're therefore investing in the future, and you'll help build the power network that Karlstad will use tomorrow. Job Responsibilities As a distribution electrician, you'll work broadly in power distribution across our network from 0.4 kV to 10 kV. In certain assignments, work may also occur on installations up to 130 kV. The work includes preventive maintenance, new connections, renovations, troubleshooting, and fault rectification. You'll work with cable laying and cable installation, cable boxes, substations, and transformers. You'll also work with service connections, meter installation, fault indicators, and RTU, as well as participate in projects such as substation and cable box replacements. During power outages, you'll need to quickly identify the problem together with colleagues and restore power supply safely. Over time, you may also join our emergency response organization. You'll be part of a production department with 28 close colleagues. Our daily work is characterized by collaboration, responsibility, professional pride, and work satisfaction. Qualifications We're looking for someone with upper secondary electrical training, preferably in power distribution. Completed ESA training is a requirement. Several years of experience in power distribution or the electrical power industry is a merit, as is experience with, for example, substations, cable boxes, cable installation, or troubleshooting. You have a genuine interest in technology and enjoy practical and varied work. You can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, while being a team player who collaborates well with others. You also need to communicate clearly with colleagues, contractors, and other parties. A category B driving license is required. A category BE driving license is a merit.
