Your abilities build Sweden's defense In this rapid development, you as a candidate have a crucial role as a manager and leader. You have a strong focus on leadership and delivery, a good ability to build and develop relationships both internally and externally, and you see responsibility as a natural part of your job. You are confident in yourself, dare to challenge existing practices, ask the right questions, and adapt solutions to needs, whether it's a tent solution or a CBRN-protected facility. Fortifikationsverket is now establishing geographic area responsibilities in Sweden where the combined property and investment portfolio is developed within a defined geographic area. To support management's work, we are also establishing a Management Office that will represent Fortifikationsverket in dialogue with the client and the Government Offices. The Management Office will also establish structure, preparation procedures, and deadlines for government assignments and other consultation responses, as well as establish structure, agenda, and form for the agency's management groups. The role may involve you becoming a manager of subordinate managers. As a department director, your responsibilities include: supporting and contributing to management's priorities coordinating and preparing for management group meetings primary contact point with the board and Government Offices receiving government assignments and distributing them to the organization GD-assistant responsible for supporting the Director General with administrative tasks creating conditions for collaboration and holistic perspectives in the organization representing the organization with integrity, trust, and professionalism You report to the Director General. Our headquarters are located in Eskilstuna. The position involves travel within Sweden and travel abroad may occur. Qualifications We're looking for someone with academic education that we consider relevant for the position. You have experience working in a management position and you are experienced in leading and achieving results through others. You have experience with organization-wide work, and experience working at the Government Offices or an agency with close contacts to the Government Offices. You also have knowledge of information security. You have very good skills in Swedish and English in both speech and writing, as well as experience using administrative support systems. A Class B driver's license is a requirement. It is a merit if you have experience working within security, defense-related environments, or real estate. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. As a person, you are driven and communicative with very good strategic and analytical abilities. Your leadership is characterized by clarity in goal descriptions and decisions. You can convey your messages at both management level and in operational activities. Furthermore, you are organized, have good prioritization skills, and a focus on deliveries. You have an easy time creating and developing relationships and conduct yourself professionally in your daily work. You actively contribute to the development of the agency. We need someone who can professionally balance high security awareness with a clear focus on rapidly building defense capability through vision and development. About the employment This is a permanent position based in Eskilstuna. Swedish citizenship is required and the employment involves war placement as well as placement in a security classification.
