– the bridge between technology's possibilities and operational needs We are seeking a Chief of Digitalization who wants to take a central role in Gavlefastigheter's development and thrives best when technology, operations, and people intersect. You identify needs and ideas, challenge assumptions, prioritize, and translate them into solutions that create real value. You guide the organization toward smart and sustainable choices – from idea to reality. You will be part of the management group and thus have a strategic role in the company's future development. You are responsible for leading and developing the digitalization area from a holistic perspective, with focus on operational benefit, quality, information security, efficiency, and long-term development. Digitalization at Gavlefastigheter encompasses everything from administrative processes and information management to smart buildings, building automation, and digital services. An important part of your mission is to create engagement and understanding for digitalization throughout the organization. You are a leader who builds relationships and supports the operations in translating opportunities into concrete change. The function has been established for several years and currently consists of five employees with solid competence in roles such as information security coordinator, IT support technician, and three systems and process specialists. There is thus a stable foundation, expertise, and experience to build upon. Your mission will be to provide direction, develop the team, and together with your colleagues continue to strengthen the company's digital capabilities. You need to thrive in a role where strategy and daily work go hand in hand – where you are involved in both day-to-day operational issues and long-term development questions. IT operations and infrastructure are primarily provided by Gävle Municipality. In this role, you are responsible for the strategic management of IT delivery, including procurement, requirements specification, and follow-up. You have several years of experience as a leader in a strategic and operationally engaged role where digitalization, IT, and business development intersect. We are seeking someone with broad and solid experience in digitalization and IT and who can switch between strategy and practice. You see the possibilities in new technology, but also have the ability to ask the question: What value does this create for the business? We are seeking someone who combines strategic perspective with a genuine interest in technology. You see digitalization's opportunities and have sufficient technical competence to understand, evaluate, and challenge various technical choices. At the same time, you have the ability to see the bigger picture, explain complex issues in an educational manner, and translate technical opportunities into concrete operational benefit – from idea to action. You have a good understanding of information security, data protection, and information management, and understand their importance for safe, efficient, and sustainable digital development. As Chief of Digitalization, you will have a central role in Gavlefastigheter's continued development, with great opportunity to strengthen the company's digital capabilities and create operational value. Gavlefastigheter owns and manages properties for municipal operations. We are owned by Gävle Municipality and are part of the group Gävle Stadshus AB. We provide suitable premises for Gävle Municipality's operations. This includes the management of approximately 550,000 square meters of space. Places where people meet, develop, and grow.
