Development work is continuously ongoing in the organization, and nutrition education is included in all assignments. You will have your treatment room at the dietitian unit together with 12 dietitians within specialist care at Nyköping Hospital. You will work closely with all dietitians in the region's primary and specialist care. There is always someone available among our dietitian colleagues on-site or in the county with whom you can discuss matters, both within and outside your treatment/diagnosis area. About Us Primary and specialist care dietitians in Sörmland are organized within a dietitian organization that belongs to the regional clinic Paramedicine Sörmland. Paramedicine consists of approximately 300 employees, of whom approximately 45 are dietitians. We work to ensure patients receive good care and the best possible nutritional treatment while working according to a clear prioritization order. The primary care unit and respective specialist care units, totaling three units, each have a dietitian director with close collaboration, which makes us a strong dietitian organization. Your Responsibilities We are now seeking a dietitian for inpatient care, for an acute geriatric unit and extended inpatient care in the home, the Alma team. The dietitian works together with the multiprofessional team in close collaboration around patients and is important expertise in nutrition matters both on the unit, before discharge home, and in extended inpatient care at home. The dietitian conducts nutritional assessments and designs nutritional treatments, prescribes enteral nutrition support in the medication list, assesses energy requirements and recommends nutritional solutions for parenteral nutrition, and supports physicians in assessing the risk of refeeding syndrome. The Alma team provides follow-up healthcare in the patient's home. At the dietitian clinic, we work closely together and support one another across our areas of responsibility when needed. Work with patients is independent, so we expect you to feel confident planning and structuring your work on your own initiative.
