Dietitian for Eating Disorders Clinic - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry, Uddevalla We are now seeking a new dedicated dietitian for our units as one of our dietitians will be on parental leave for one year after the Christmas holiday. Dietitians are a sought-after resource and there is a good chance of continued employment within one of the operations after the temporary position ends. Your assignment will be divided between the child and adolescent psychiatric eating disorders clinic and the adult psychiatric eating disorders clinic. As a dietitian, you will be a natural part of both teams: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Eating Disorders Clinic, Uddevalla The eating disorders clinic for children and youth is a specialist operation within child and adolescent psychiatry in NU-sjukvården. We work in a team consisting of nurses, social workers, social pedagogues, physiotherapists, dietitians, secretaries, team leaders, and unit managers. Our mission is primarily to treat children and adolescents with serious eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. Treatment is provided individually and/or in groups as well as through family treatment and day care. We provide consultations to other units at the child and adolescent psychiatry clinic and other healthcare providers. The work also includes working with children, parents, and families in collaboration with schools, social services, and other organizations dealing with eating disorders. Adult Psychiatry, Eating Disorders Clinic, Uddevalla The eating disorders clinic is a subspecialized outpatient clinic in adult psychiatric services, with all of NU-sjukvården as its catchment area. Our team consists of various professional disciplines including physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, dietitians, medical secretaries, and unit managers. Treatment is based on cognitive behavioral therapy with various types of groups such as body awareness training, bulimia group, binge eating group, and meal training as a complement to individual counseling sessions. We also have day care services. Duties As a dietitian, you will be responsible for specific questions regarding nutrition and provide general and specific dietary advice. Your work includes making assessments, ordering, and prescribing food for special nutritional purposes. An important part of your work is providing information and education to patients as well as to healthcare staff, both in outpatient and day care settings. This occurs individually during patient visits and during group education sessions. Collaboration is an important part of your daily work, as well as documentation in the Melior medical records system. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a licensed dietitian; this is a requirement for the position. Desirable qualities are strong teaching ability; previous experience working in psychiatry is also desired. As a person, we see that you are positive, development-oriented, and enjoy working both independently and in a team with both adults and children and their guardians. You have a strong ability to meet, treat, and inform patients in a trustworthy manner. We place great importance on personal suitability.
