Dietitian for Eating Disorders Clinic - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry, Uddevalla We are now looking for a dedicated dietitian to our units as one of our dietitians will be on parental leave for one year after the Christmas holidays. Dietitians are a sought-after resource and there is a good chance of continued employment within one of the operations after the temporary position ends. Your duties will be divided between the child and adolescent psychiatric eating disorders clinic and the adult psychiatric eating disorders clinic. As a dietitian, you are a natural part of both teams: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Eating Disorders Clinic, Uddevalla The eating disorders clinic for children and young people is a specialist operation within child and adolescent psychiatry at NU-sjukvården. We work in a team consisting of nurses, social workers, social pedagogue, physiotherapist, dietitian, secretary, team leader, and unit manager. Our mission is primarily to treat children and adolescents with serious eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. Treatment takes place individually and/or in groups as well as through family therapy and day care. We provide consultations to other units at the child and adolescent psychiatric clinic and other healthcare providers. The work also includes working with children, parents, and families in collaboration with schools, social services, and other organizations concerning children with eating disorders. Adult Psychiatry, Eating Disorders Clinic, Uddevalla The eating disorders clinic is a subspecialized outpatient clinic within adult psychiatric operations, serving the entire NU-sjukvården catchment area. Our team consists of various professional disciplines including doctors, nurses, physiotherapist, dietitians, medical secretary, and unit manager. Treatment is based on cognitive behavioral therapy with various types of groups such as body awareness training, bulimia group, binge eating group, and meal training as supplements to individual counseling sessions. We also have day care. Responsibilities As a dietitian, you will be responsible for specific nutritional matters and provide general and specific dietary advice. The work includes making assessments, ordering, and prescribing food for special nutritional purposes. An important part of the work is providing information and education to patients and healthcare personnel in both outpatient and day care settings. This takes place individually during patient visits as well as in group educational sessions. Collaboration is an important part of your daily work as well as documentation in the Melior medical record system. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed dietitian, which is a requirement for this position. Desired qualities include good pedagogical skills, and previous experience working in psychiatry is preferred. As a person, we see that you are positive, development-oriented, and enjoy working both independently and in a team with both adults and children and their guardians. You have a good ability to meet/treat and inform patients in a trustworthy manner. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Other Information This position is a temporary one-year position.
