In Falun Parish, which is part of Falun Municipality, there is even more. Five congregations, engaged parishioners, 70 friendly colleagues, good finances, beautiful churches and parish facilities. Services are held here both on weekends and weekdays. Children, young people and adults meet here for various community gatherings and conversations about faith and life. The parish has a well-developed diaconal work including Mary activities and many parishioners participate in one of the parish's choirs. Do you want to make a real difference in people's lives? We are looking for an engaged, attentive and courageous deacon who wants to help strengthen our work with social sustainability in collaboration with various actors. Job Responsibilities With us, you will be a central part of the congregation's diaconal work. You meet people at all stages of life and help create hope, coherence and support. The work is varied and requires both strategic competence and a flexible approach. Lead and develop diaconal activities Collaborate with Falun Municipality and civil society Support and organize volunteer workers Work preventively with social sustainability and inclusion Qualifications Deacon with a social worker education as a foundation or social worker with church experience Have good ability to work strategically Are confident, organized and find it easy to cooperate with both colleagues and parishioners Have experience in social work, diaconia or similar field Enjoy developing activities and finding new ways of working To get around among our different churches, you need to have a class B driving license and access to your own car. Terms The position is full-time and is permanent. Start date to be agreed upon. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. For this position, membership in the Church of Sweden is required.
