Your Workplace
Västerstrand Health Center is a functioning and pleasant workplace with committed colleagues and strong collaboration. We're located in Våxnäs Centrum, approximately 10 minutes from central Karlstad, with excellent bus connections making it easy to reach us.
We're part of the south Karlstad operational area together with the health centers Gripen, Tullholmen, Grums and Skoghall, as well as Värmland Health Center and Karlstad On-Call Center. This gives us security within a larger context while maintaining a personal feel in our daily work.
Our team includes district doctors, ST and AT doctors, district nurses, registered nurses, healthcare assistants, healthcare administrators, counseling services, and a unit manager working closely together. We believe in teamwork, participation, and that all professions are essential for providing the best possible care and a good work environment.
Your Responsibilities
As a diabetes nurse with us, you'll have varied, independent, and meaningful work. You'll manage your own clinic but also work at the health center's on-call reception and provide telephone and digital consultations.
You'll be part of a team with seven dedicated and competent nursing colleagues who support each other, share their knowledge, and work closely together in daily practice.
Your Knowledge and Skills
We're looking for a registered nurse with diabetes education. It's an advantage if you have previous experience working at a health center and enjoy combining independent work with close team collaboration.
We're seeking someone who meets both patients and colleagues with warmth, engagement, and professionalism. You appreciate structure but also enjoy that no two days are exactly alike.
