Diabetes Nurse - Flexible Hours at Health Center

Borås Health Center is seeking a licensed diabetes nurse for our clinic. We are flexible regarding hours — the position can be structured anywhere from a few hours per week to part-time, depending on your circumstances and what you are looking for. Work takes place during daytime hours with no on-call or weekend duties. This is ideal if you want to combine work with another position, reduce your hours, or work alongside other commitments while keeping your diabetes expertise active. About the Workplace We are a health center with approximately 4,000 registered patients. The team consists of physicians, nurses, a psychologist, and administrative staff. The limited patient list size ensures a balanced workload and good conditions for continuity in patient care. Job Responsibilities - Independent diabetes clinic with autonomous assessments, treatments, and follow-up of patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes - Adjustment of medication treatment in collaboration with physicians, including insulin adjustment - Support and education to patients in self-care, diet, physical activity, and self-monitoring - Annual check-ups, including foot assessments and referrals for fundus photography - Management of blood glucose meters, sensors (CGM), and insulin pumps, as well as support to patients in using these devices With expanded hours, the position may also include telephone advice and triage of other patients at the health center. This is something we will agree upon based on how many hours you work. Qualifications - Licensed nurse with completed further education in diabetes care (university degree in diabetes care or equivalent) - Experience with independent diabetes work in primary care is meritorious - District nurse degree is meritorious - Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing - Computer skills. Experience with AsynjaVisph and 1177 is meritorious Terms - Flexible hours, from a few hours per week to part-time. Work schedule is arranged in dialogue within the health center's opening hours, Monday–Friday - Employment type adapted to hours (permanent, part-time, or hourly employment) - Salary according to collective agreement with Vårdförbundet, individually set - Wellness allowance Application Send CV and cover letter to [email protected].
