Neptuniskolan is a grades F-6 school with an attached after-school program and club activities, beautifully located in southern Järfälla with proximity to nature and excellent transportation. We are the small school "in the middle of town" surrounded by parks and townhouse areas. We work according to our core values: Students first, professionalism, communication, trust, and responsibility. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES Would you like to make a difference? As a student assistant, you will have a special assignment to support a student with type 1 diabetes in the school environment. You are an important part in creating security, structure, and participation for both the student and the entire class. You work closely with teachers and other staff, and are an inclusive colleague both at the after-school program and your work hours are based on the student's attendance. Your job duties include: • Being daily support for a student with type 1 diabetes, including assistance with blood sugar monitoring, nutrition, and insulin administration according to an agreed plan • Supporting the student in the classroom and during school activities • Collaborating with the home, teachers, and student health services to ensure a safe and functioning school experience • Being a present and engaged adult in the classroom and after-school care where you are active with the students • Contributing to an inclusive climate for all students QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • Has experience working with children with type 1 diabetes • Has good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written • Has basic knowledge of type 1 diabetes and understanding of its impact in everyday life • Is organized, responsible, and confident in your role • Has good collaboration skills and a warm demeanor • Is flexible and solution-focused • It is meritorious if you have relevant education or experience from similar work Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
