About Gothenburg RoRo Terminal Gothenburg RORO Terminal is located in Gothenburg port at the mouth of the Göta River. Multiple vessels from various European destinations call at the port regularly each week. Gothenburg RORO Terminal specializes in ro-ro and vehicle handling and is an important part of Sweden's import and export chain. About the Position The role involves work such as machinery operation, unloading and loading cargo, and hands-on work including vehicle driving and securing cargo. Your daily tasks and responsibilities in this role may also include forklift operation, efficiently stacking and storing products, and performing other tasks related to terminal operations. For you and your team to perform the work as efficiently as possible, clear communication in Swedish is important. English may also be used when communicating with customers. The facility operates 24/7 throughout the week. Work shifts are scheduled during day, evening, and night hours. About You We are looking for someone who enjoys both physical work and working outdoors and has no problem working regardless of weather conditions. You view safety as an important part of your work performance, helping to prevent accidents from occurring. It is also important that you can handle stress and maintain focus in high-pressure situations, as the terminal operates at a fast pace. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and believe this role is for someone who is confident, responsible, and enjoys teamwork. As a contract consultant, you are employed by DFDS Professionals to perform work for various client companies, where your workplace, work hours, and job duties may vary. Therefore, it is important that you are flexible and comfortable with varying work schedules on weekdays and weekends during day, evening, and night shifts. Requirements for the Position High school diploma or equivalent At least three years of work experience Driver's License Category B (manual transmission) Forklift Certification A+B (certifications in categories C and D are advantageous) Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written Many of the work tasks are specific to the workplace and require training.
