About Gothenburg RoRo Terminal
Gothenburg RoRo Terminal is located in Gothenburg's port at the mouth of the Göta River. Several vessels from various destinations across Europe call at the port regularly each week. Gothenburg RoRo Terminal specializes in RoRo and vehicle handling and is an important part of Sweden's import and export chain.
About the Position
The role includes work such as machinery operation, unloading and loading cargo, as well as hands-on work such as vehicle driving and securing goods. Your daily tasks and responsibilities in this role may also include forklift operation, efficient stacking and storage of products, and other tasks related to terminal work.
For you and your team to perform the work as efficiently as possible, it is important that you can communicate clearly in Swedish. English may also be used when contacting customers. The operation is open around the clock, seven days a week. Work hours are scheduled for day, evening, and night shifts.
About You
We are looking for someone who enjoys working both physically and outdoors and has no problem working regardless of weather conditions. You view safety as an important part of your work to prevent accidents from occurring. It is also important that you can handle stress and maintain focus in high-pressure situations, as the terminal operates at a fast pace. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and believe this position is suitable for someone who is confident, responsible, and enjoys teamwork.
As a staffing consultant, you will be employed by DFDS Professionals to perform work for various client companies, where the workplace, work hours, and tasks may vary. It is therefore important that you are flexible and comfortable in a role with varying working hours, scheduled on weekdays and weekends for day, evening, and night shifts.
Requirements for the Position
High school diploma or equivalent
At least three years of work experience
Driver's license category B (manual transmission)
Forklift certification A+B (certification in categories C and D are advantageous)
Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Many of the work tasks are specific to the workplace and require training. It is therefore a requirement for this position that you can participate in one of the following training sessions:
Training Session 1: Week 40
Training Session 2: Week 41
Training Session 3: Week 42
