SGDS's central IT department is responsible for managing, operating and further developing the digital platforms, business systems and infrastructure solutions that keep the entire operation running. Through stable operations, high information security and continuous technical improvement work, a robust IT environment is ensured that supports everything from stores' and logistics chains' daily needs to sales functions, customer-facing systems, financial processes, sustainability initiatives, analytics platforms and other core business areas.
The IT department works closely with the business with the mission to deliver scalable, modern solutions that drive digitalization forward across the organization, while streamlining processes and creating conditions for an even stronger and more cohesive customer experience. The IT department is also part of Saint-Gobain Distribution Nordic and some assignments may be conducted across borders.
Responsibilities
As a DevOps Specialist, you are responsible for enabling reliable, secure and efficient platforms and delivery flows. You work at the intersection of development, operations and cloud architecture with a focus on automation, scalability and stable operations.
You drive the development of CI/CD processes and ensure that build, test and deployment flows work efficiently and automatically. The role also involves working with monitoring and incident management to ensure high availability and performance.
Further, you work on improving tools, processes and working methods, while having responsibility for cost optimization and capacity planning in the platforms.
Examples of work tasks:
Design, build and manage cloud infrastructure and on-premise solutions with Infrastructure as Code
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated flows
Implement monitoring, logging and alarms for proactive operations
Ensure security in platforms and pipelines according to secure-by-design
Work with scalability, performance and cost optimization in cloud platforms
Education, Experience and Personal Qualities
Experience as a DevOps Specialist, SRE, platform engineer or similar
Practical experience with a cloud platform
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD tools and container technology
Knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language
Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
