DevOps Engineer, FHIR Server A large healthcare organization in Stockholm is establishing a FHIR server (Genomic Data Repository) for genomic data within the diagnostics domain in their existing OpenShift environment. You will set up the platform from the ground up with production-ready configuration, build CI/CD and observability around it, and document it so that the customer's internal operations and DevOps team can take over and further develop after the assignment. The role is hands-on and independent, in close collaboration with solution architects and internal platform teams. Quick Facts Start: September 1, 2026 Scope: Full-time, 100% Location: Solna, approximately 50% on-site and 50% remote Employment Type: Subcontractor via Lynqa, we handle contracts and invoicing Assignment Duration: Through December 31, 2026, with option to extend 2 x 3 months Application Deadline: August 13, 2026 What You Will Do Establish the HAPI FHIR server in OpenShift with robust, production-ready configuration Build CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for automated deployment and testing Set up monitoring, logging, and observability (metrics, traces, logs) Document architecture, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks Conduct knowledge transfer to the internal team for long-term operations and support Integrate with existing data and integration flows according to the FHIR standard Requirements At least 5 years of documented experience with DevOps work, platform development, or equivalent infrastructure/operations role, including hands-on experience with containerized environments At least 3 years of documented experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes, including deployment, configuration, and operational reliability of production environments At least 3 years of documented experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins), including version control and Infrastructure-as-Code Documented experience with monitoring, logging, and observability in distributed systems, such as Prometheus, ELK stack, or equivalent At least 2 years of documented experience working in healthcare or other regulated industries with a focus on operations, security, and compliance for sensitive data Documented experience writing operational documentation, runbooks, and architecture descriptions for knowledge transfer to operations teams Documented experience installing, configuring, and integrating FHIR-based or equivalent REST-based APIs in healthcare-related integration scenarios Documented experience setting up, deploying, and handing over production-ready technical solutions in collaboration with solution architects and internal operations and platform teams Fluent Swedish and English in speaking and writing Meritorious Hands-on experience with HAPI FHIR server in containerized environments, as well as FHIR API design, data modeling, or integration with FHIR endpoints GitLab-specific CI/CD with autoscaling, environment management, and deployment strategies, as well as Helm, Kustomize, or Terraform Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack in healthcare or regulatory context Experience from genomics, precision medicine, or diagnostics Application Send your CV to [email protected].
