We are now seeking a new colleague for our Demand Planning team, where we together transform market trends, insights, and business signals into well-founded plans that create the conditions for success. This is a temporary position with employment at Orkla Foods Sverige, starting immediately through August 2027, and is located at our headquarters in Malmö. For this role, direct employment is required, so we do not accept consultants or consulting arrangements. About the role As a Demand Planner, you have an important role in understanding and planning how demand for our products develops over time. It involves analyzing sales, trends, campaigns, launches, and other activities that may affect how much our customers are expected to demand. You maintain an ongoing dialogue with our production planners to align forecasts with what can and needs to be produced at our facilities. Based on that information, you develop forecasts that help us plan the right volumes at the right time. In this way, you contribute to us maintaining high delivery reliability to our customers, while reducing the risk of surplus, waste, and food loss. In the role, you will work closely with several different functions within the organization and have a central role in our Sales & Operations Planning process. You will be part of the Supply Chain department, where you will work in a team consisting of three Demand Planners in total, and you report to the Demand Planning Manager. The role includes close dialogue with other functions within and outside the Supply Chain department. Here are the areas you will have the opportunity to work with: Evaluate input to forecasts and follow up forecasts through your own analysis and ongoing input from market/sales. Drive parts of the Sales & Operations Planning process for Orkla Foods Sverige's product range and use the S&OP process to capture market insights and activities. Drive close collaboration with our production planners at our facilities to ensure high delivery reliability to our customers. Use system support and follow-up reports based on deviations to improve forecast accuracy. Analyze, monitor, and maintain forecast models for the product range you are responsible for. Further develop IT support that supports the forecasting process with a focus on follow-up and analysis support. Work with continuous process improvements and use AI as a natural tool and support in our daily processes. In collaboration with the market/sales organization and Supply Chain KAM, closely monitor forecasting and follow-up of seasonal products and new launches. Participate in improvement projects regarding, for example, forecast accuracy, delivery reliability, sell-outs, and waste. Profile description: Who are you We are looking for someone with a relevant academic background, such as a master's degree in engineering, engineering degree, business degree, economics degree, or equivalent, and who can demonstrate a clear track record of analytical work – for example, through studies, thesis work, internships, trainee programs, or previous similar roles. You may also have built up specific work experience in demand planning, forecasting, or planning, and now want to take the next step in a business-oriented and analytical role. Your Excel skills are very strong, and you have an easy time learning new systems and ways of working. We work in, among other things, the planning tool IBP (Integrated Business Planning) and the business system SAP. As a person, we see that you are a good communicator with the ability to create and maintain a broad network. You have good business understanding, interest in the entire value chain, and are analytical, structured, and curious about contributing to development and improvement.
