SJR is now seeking a Demand Planner for our client in Kista, a large international company in the electronics industry. This is a full-time consulting assignment starting as soon as possible, running for 6 months with good opportunities for extension or permanent recruitment. You will have the opportunity to work close to operations in a dynamic environment with office presence five days a week. About the Role As a Demand Planner, you will be a central link between product management, sales, customers, suppliers, and the supply chain function. You are responsible for ensuring efficient planning of demand and deliveries through continuous analysis of sales data, forecasts, and market developments. In this role, you have significant responsibility for creating accurate forecasts, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring that the right products are available at the right time. You work closely with both internal and external stakeholders and contribute with analyses and decision-making materials that support business operations. Responsibilities - Develop, analyze, and update demand forecasts with a planning horizon of up to six months. - Manage monthly and weekly planning based on sales development, market trends, and business needs. - Monitor delivery plans and ensure product availability from factories and suppliers. - Analyze sales results and continuously compare forecasts against actual outcomes. - Prioritize and allocate products to customers based on availability and business-critical needs. - Maintain ongoing dialogue with customers, product management, and sales organization regarding deliveries and supply issues. - Collect, analyze, and report sales and sell-out data. - Identify risks of product shortages and initiate measures to minimize impact on operations. - Prepare reports, analyses, and decision-making materials for management and business organization. - Support product launches and assortment planning based on availability and market demand. Suitable Background We are seeking someone with an academic background in, for example, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or similar field. You have previous experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain, logistics, or other analytical and business-related function. You are accustomed to working data-driven and have very strong skills in Excel. Experience with advanced analysis, reporting, and forecasting work is advantageous. You communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing and have a good understanding of how sales, inventory, and supply chains work together to create business results. If you also have understanding or can speak/write Korean, this is highly advantageous. Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, you are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented.
